Hello! Welcome to my website and blog.
When used as an Italian idiom, per caso implies a wonderful process by which stuff comes together to create an opportunity that is seemingly by chance.
There are many other words… luck [when preparation meets opportunity]; courage [putting what’s important to you above your fear]; karma, destiny, fate….
I like these concepts because they encourage us to increase our awareness and live in the moment.
Please enjoy my site… it challenges me to acknowledge my courage and prepare for my luck!

The Napa Valley Art Association has opened a new gallery for its exhibiting artists’ co-op, Artists of the Valley. This is my first gallery exhibition… ever! I love art galleries and museums as a patron, but I’ve never been interested in exhibiting. My view of my own work was always marketing in a way that is more proactive and hands-on… completing someone else’s vision in a commercial, retail, or private space by working together with the owner.
I also used the excuse of finances… as a starving artist, I wasn’t inclined to produce something, hang it on a wall, and hope someone came to look at it. Recently, my perception of this exhibiting phenomenon has done a 180. As a board member of the NVAA I have been fortunate to get to know many artists, a community that I’m not used to hanging out in. They have helped me understand the profound effect that gallery art can have on a random viewer and its importance in our world.
Well, hit me with a brick… of course, I have experienced that inspiring effect as a random viewer countless times in my travels. More excuses… maybe it’s a control thing… I couldn’t see the result unless something was bought?… but there are intense results that are not tangible to the artist… you just have to create it and put it out there (which is the hard part!). Oh, I love this universal connectedness stuff!
So, as a good friend of mine often says, “I invite you!” - visit my talented friends and me at the Artists of the Valley Gallery located near Copia and the new Oxbow Market in the exciting upcoming Riverfront District at 710 First Street in Napa, open daily 10am-6pm!
