Wow, I haven’t felt this proud to be an American since I traveled to Europe a week after 9/11. I just sat tonight with my Mom and watched Barack Obama’s nomination speech. Neither one of us felt we would ever see this kind of change in our lifetimes. Hope, strength, clarity, community, compassion. The fog is lifting, it’s time we celebrate our diversity as a country and harness the potential of unity; re-igniting the promise of the dreams that created the reality of our culture.

I’m so proud and humbled and excited for our future. Thank you to all of the people who have worked so hard in the Democratic trenches to make this night a reality. Thank you to all of the people who laid the historical path to make this night a reality. A shout out to Tracy Krumpen, our Napa CD1 delegate at the convention… you inspire me!
